WHY DO WE NEED A SAVIOUR?

 

Sin is the brutal reality of mankind, which separated us from our creator and the best he has in store for us. However, God was determined to change this brutal reality and make way for those who look to leap out of sin. To make this happen, he sent his only son Jesus to die for our sins and redeem us back to himself. He then rose again defeating death.

 

But why die?

It is required that for the forgiveness of sins,  the shedding of blood us inevitable. And for generations, blood sacrifice was practiced, however, no sacrifice was enough to suffice for the sins one commits. In such a case, only a sinless, blemishless offering had to be made to forgive all of mankind's sins once for all, and there couldn’t be anyone besides God.
Contrary to our earthly systems, where leaders send their armies, here, Jesus, God himself came to show us how to live and then become the perfect sacrifice. God doesn’t just love the Christians, God loved the world. So anyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life, salvation.

While we live our lives doing all we can to hope we are pleasing God, to make it all worth, it is crucial to know if we are on the right path.

We don’t receive salvation by acts, but by accepting Jesus in our life and knowing him as our savior and God.

 

If you want to accept Jesus in your life, a simple prayer is all that it takes to make heaven rejoice.

 

Prayer:

Jesus, I thank you for helping me find you. I recognize that I am a sinner and have no hope by myself. I believe that you died for my sins so that I could be forgiven. I want to accept you as my Lord and Saviour and live as your son/daughter, in the freedom that you have made accessible to me.

I am free from the shackles of sin and the work of the enemy, I belong to Jesus.

Amen.

 

Being a Christian isn’t an assurance that all our challenges are denied and troubles are gone. In fact, Jesus tells us in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Though you may encounter more trouble, now God will take you through it.
